Opportunities for reflection aim to provide space and time for renewal and refreshment around the annual cycles of Christian & Jewish festivals.

Using images from past pilgrimages to the Holyland and elsewhere help to provide visual images of passages shared and give insights to scripture.

Feasts & Celebrations
Feasts

Christians have special times to celebrate throughout the year, (Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Christmas) and so do Jews (Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashana, Tabernacles)  God`s Word, the Bible scriptures, proscribe some Feasts that we find Jesus follows. Throughout our calendar year you can find below relevant Celebrations and reflect on their development and understanding.

The Biblical feasts as laid out in scripture help us recall the past. Each festival God tells the people to keep as a remembrance. If we never look back to see where we came from, we miss seeing the goodness of God in all He has done. For instance, looking back to the first Passover, helps us see how Jesus became our Passover Lamb or lose the meaning of Revelation 13:8 where it says “the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world”. There is much symbolism, but as `every word of God is flawless` (Proverbs 30:5) they are worth studying and being open to hear God`s revelation to us.  These festivals have had prophetic significance, not only in the way Jesus has fulfilled them but in the way there are some yet to be fulfilled - a future promise and hope.
